Winter has arrived, at last. There is still much life in the yard.
In the pond, the parrot feather is hanging on for life .
Constant life in the yard... Mr. Biggins exclaims, "Bella, you're breakin' ma leg!"
I'm waiting for
Hummingbirds to return to the feeder,
The heavenly fragrance of a Magnolia blossom,
The branches of the crepe myrtles to bend with the weight of green, white and pink.
Warmth on my back, frogs screaming in the pond, fish jumping, the lizards' return, and longer days.
The winter sunset is a masterpiece, though.

You look much closer to Spring than things here.
It was freezing cold today for a change!
I am really looking forward to seeing your yard in the spring.
Great sunset picture!
I love seeing what still survives when winter brings its nasty cold self to town. LOL! It does look like Bella is breakin' Mr. Biggins' leg! Your hummingbird feeder is pretty. Ohhh, I can't wait for the magnolia blossoms either. And a fantastic sunset! I hope you had a great day yesterday!
Just beautiful Mary! Love that hummer feeder too! Be sure to have your nectar going by April 1st as they'll start migrating up in this part of the country then. I had one last year on April 3rd!
How do you know it is winter?? One day of ice?? Just teasing...everything in life is relative.
Wow! That's lovely. I took a looking forward to spring picture at work the other day. Although our weather is so clear and sunny that it feels like spring is on its way but we need some more rain first, please!
Your hummingbird feeder is beautiful!
