The sound of me unhooking their harnesses from the rack on the back of the laundry room door puts them into a frenzy. They didn’t know that I was hitching them up because Stanley Steemer was due to arrive and I’d need to haul their little bodies into the bedroom. HA! I enjoyed their anticipation and competitive spirit for a while…
Bella made the first move. In her Winnie the Pooh Piglet voice,
Come on, Chloe. Let’s g-g-get ready to rumble. Shall we?
Come on, Chloe. Let’s g-g-get ready to rumble. Shall we?
Lighten up, Francis.
Bella screamed, Roo Roo Roooooo!
Bella is lightning fast, but at age 11, Chloe can still outrun the Roadrunner.
Chloe's evil snarl: Catch me if you can, fatty. Make…my…day!
Bella: Hey, I’m not f-f-fat! I’m big boned!
Chloe's evil snarl: Catch me if you can, fatty. Make…my…day!
Bella: Hey, I’m not f-f-fat! I’m big boned!
Michael wanted to please them.
I prefer the lead attachment that keeps them together so I can hold only one lead. Michael would rather
Chloe is a leg lifter. I wish I could have taken a photo of her squeezing that last drop of pee, as her calling card, and her territorial thatching of grass with her hind legs.
Doesn’t take much to shock pea-brain Bella.
Our driveway is so steep that in about ten years I can imagine myself in an electric chair lift taking me to the mailbox. I’m not kidding.Sometimes disobedient and embarrassing but they are
sweet and loving Soul Sistas.

Such a life those two dogs have. Such a life!
They certainly are darling dogs. I enjoyed their story. Me just putting my walking shoes on puts Luna into a tizzy. If I tell her to get her collar she dances with glee. Aren't they fun?? They keep us busy.
LOL, this is wonderful and the dog harness makes many pets excited like this! Great post my friend!
This post made my day! Superb Bellatockage. Phoebe and I commented that Chet Baker couldn't snarl even if he wanted to, because he's so jowly. Chloe has a dangerous look with those dainty womanly jowls.
Our big victory today--Bake now lifts his paw and extends it toward you when you ask him to shake. But only for giblets.

Dear Mary,
Thank you! LOL...lol...
You are so funny. I actually thought for a minute I was walking with you and Michael. I yelled out, "Watch out!" twice...I cqan just see Michael going down.
Those two pups are so cute. They rule the house I bet.
How did photos for graduation turn out? My fingers are crossed all will work out great.
Thanks again for a fun doggie story.
Sherry
Oh yes, I have done the doggy dance too--me on one side of the mailbox, my dog on the other. Or no matter how much I try to figure which side of me she will walk on, she always picks the opposite side, so I am twirling away.
What a great photo essay -- so cute! My most missed Labrador was dominant and lifted her leg and marked her territory too. :)
Mary - you certainly know how to entertain all of us with Bella and Chloe's antics. I certainly got my BT fix tonight between your post and JZ's Chet Baker post. Thanks for the chuckles.
These pups are so cute. I love to see dogs playing. I'm a big dog person. xoxo Nita
Mary you must have so much fun with your dogs.
Oh Mare, what a good way to start my day....laughing with you and your little BTs. We go through the same silly routine at our house with harnesses and leashes and silly little Sophie trying to pester patient old Daisy. I also use one of those 2-dog connectors, but the spousal unit refuses (must be a guy thing!) Thanks for sharing a fun story and pictures. The last picture is most precious.
P.S. I love that your dogs "talk" to you in their own distinct voices--mine do too! :)
What a fun Chloe and Bella storyteller you are Mary! Love all these images with perfect captions. :c)
Our kids (human, dogs, cats, ext.) can be so much fun!
What a wonderful time. :)
I'm soaking up the cute and the sunshine in this post; it's got to tide me over during these dark days of winter! Keep it coming!
and I keep forgetting to tell you how much I laugh when you say, "Lighten up, Frances"--that was one of the best movie scenes evah! (for those who haven't seen it: Stripes, with Bill Murray)
Your pictures and words just give me my smile for the day.I love the snarl face - so vicious! They look totally exhausted - Michael, too?
I love the words you use to describe what your dogs' expressions - they're so perfect!
Awwww, they are so cute.
Ooh I know all about the frenzy that harness-giggling gets going :)
I have two pooches too but I haven't seen a lead attachment to keep the two together; I asked at the local pet supply store and she told me there was no such thing. Harumph. Right now I have something rigged up so it's not so bad, but I'd still like the real thing ;)
Ooh! And I see Lisa above has a sweetie named Luna (moon in Italian), just like one of mine! The other is Stella (star in Italian) :)
Great action shots!
Go ahead make my Day! A Clint Eastwood Dog gotta love that.I can relate to Chloe squeezing out that last drop of pee. When I'm at the gas station -I squeeze out that last drop of gas. If I paid for it I might as well try to get it all!
LOVE to see these thread of photos! Bella and Chloe are really lovely! I love also to see the streets of your neighborhood! All so beautiful!
