What gets rolled or dropped in the “play ball” hallway is pretty much what the rest of the house looks like. For safety reasons, you must walk through the house with one eye on the floor to avoid tripping and falling until I make a grand sweep of toys every other day. Bostons are all about toys.
Oh, they were very good dogs and Santa treated them well.
Bella nibbled the Santa hat off this plush toy in five minutes flat. She prefers soft, squeaky toys.
Chloe, c-c-cm’ere, it queeks!
Quiet, Bella. I’m busy. If Santa wants to give me toys suitable for a Yorkie, I need to destroy them.
Watch this, Bella. Hold and press on the stupid toy with your front feet and rip it apart with your front teeth. Don’t give up.
There. I mutilated it. One less stupid toy from Santa.

LOL! That looks remarkably similar to my house. We refer to all the balls, bones, and dog toys scattered about as "burglar traps".

I spoil my furbabies at Christmas too. Now that the kids are older they are not as fun to buy for as my pets. ;o)
And a good time was had by all. Those two seem to celebrate in a typical doggie fashion based on my limited experience of my brother's dogs.

What is it with dogs and their toys? Lilly isn't happy unless she has all of her toys out. Her favorite place to play with them is on the landing. So there are usually toys on the stairs. We have to walk very carefully too.

I have a friend who actually trained her dog to pick up all the toys and put them back in the toy box. I tried, but the girls thought I was punishing them, so I pick up everything myself.

That looks like my house but instead I have every kind of little ball with bells inside for the cats along with feather boas on a stick for chasing. I need to remember to pick up all the toys with bells in them or I'd be awakened many times during the night.
Can you believe it's back to work on Monday??? NOOOOOO. And I have our board coming in on Wednesday for meetings. Double NOOOOOOO.

Isn't that the truth! We constantly have toys lying around underfoot. My husband always wants me to throw them away because he says we have too many.
Lily loves the small, soft squeeky toys and she's very gentle with them, until Winston comes along and says, "Let's play tug of war!" Next thing you know guts are flying everywhere!

Oh, and I can relate to a house where the floor stays pretty much a dangerous place for walking without watching. My cats make sure the toys are forever changing positions, and I can't tell you how often I trip or stumble (usually right after getting out of bed).
