A Child's Smile

Fourteen police cadets graduated from the academy on Friday. It’s always a pleasure to finally meet their families and friends. After the ceremony, I was particularly pleased to meet their lovely children. I focused on their smiles.

If you are somebody’s Mom, smile today. If you are not, smile anyway.

Such darling little faces. I smiled because these little faces made me think of my children when they were these ages. Such sweet memories. Happy Day Mary.

What cuties they are! Definitely Kellogg's Cornflakes model material. Wonderful smiles!

What a big day for those families. Many good wishes to them!

Aw, how could you look at them and NOT smile? The little guy's suit reminds me of my own mother who bought our children clothes three sizes too large so they would "grow into them." I always had to tell them, "wear it today, but when Gramma goes home you won't have to wear that again until it fits."

Happy Mothers Day, Mary - it's fun to see you turn your talents to photographing children. They're kind of like your bird photos - very natural, with the action barely paused and with the subject ready to take off again.

That was very nice, Mary!
All of those smiles are what makes the world a much nicer place to live! Happy 'belated' Mother's Day!

A smile always brings a smile, I smiled when I looked at those smiling children.

The images seem to have a color cast and I think it is because the white balance setting is in sunny mode. In this image it should be in tungsten mode. You can still correct the WB in photoshop or in simpler software like picasso.

I love this post! Such cute little kids! So happy! At least until they become teenagers. I had to snicker at the one about the dad still laughing when she's 15. If I knew what was coming with my own daughter I would have cried everyday. I hope one day she and her father can be close again. Guess that's just what happens sometimes when girls become teenagers.

I think that little boy with the suit and perpetual smile looks like the Smartest Kid in class ; )

They are all adorable!
