Summer Naps

100_7720

Psssst. Paparazzo is here. Wake up. It’s high noon and it's too hot for sunbathing babes.

100_7721

Excuse me. Will you wake that baby?

100_7723

Hey, there’s a baby over there. May I interrupt your lunch and ask you to wake the baby?

100_7734

You’re napping through lunch and missing moist and delicious corn husks. Get up. The flies are biting!

100_7724

If you won’t wake the baby, please let me see your Maybelline eyelashes. Hmmmpf.

100_7729

Listen to me?

100_7737

Now that I have your attention, will you please check on the baby?

Lady,

Got corn?

100_7738

Look at me! Over here!

100_7739

Yoo………. hoo………..

100_7733

I understand.
Completely.
Summer naps.
There must be Poppies.
Where are the Poppies?

Adorable, cubed. I do believe this is the first time I've ever beat anyone to a comment on Mary's View. I came here for a respite from scrubbing and waxing the kitchen floor but was not expecting a tiny baby pony!! Thank you!

Mary, I absolutely loved this post! It made me smile and laugh. With the week I've had I really needed a laugh. You're the best. I wish you were still here.

What a wonderful treat for the eyes Mary. Love seeing those well fed ponies. You are right about those eyes too. They are so liquid you could just drown in them.

Could not be more charming and precious. But where were these taken?

Yes, Mary - any comment here must contain the word adorable!
You must live in a pretty wonderful place if seeing such wonders as a snoozing baby horse can happen on a summer afternoon. Was this on the way home from work?

Thanks for the adorable comments, all!

There's a horse farm across the road from where I live. The Miniatures graze inside the fence near the road. When I saw a baby no larger than a Cocker Spaniel, I had to stop!

Dear Mary,
Soooo cute!!
I loved seeing the horses.
I need to get out of the city.

Oh gosh Mare, that little baby horse is too cute! We have a couple farms around here with miniature horses too, but I've never gotten that close enough to see the babies.
